The IEC 60601 standards apply to all medical electrical equipment and medical electrical systems placed on the market regardless of classification.
Having streamlined and clear insulation requirements in combination with a robust and detailed insulation diagram helps you manage the electrical safety requirements of the standards.
Also, it is a necessary input to perform the dielectric strength test and leakage current tests required by the standards.
